Exterior Masonry Restoration: Located in the heart of the White House Historic District, the Red Cross
Building was built of Vermont Danby marble in 1924. Dan Lepore & Sons was brought in by Clark to
restore the marble facades and site masonry. Work included masonry cleaning and consolidation, stone
repair, dutchmen, carving and installation of new marble balusters, fragment reconstruction, resetting
stone balustrade and steps, and repointing.
